New banking regulations in Panama

The Superintendence of Banks of Panama has recently issued the following regulations:

• Agreement 3-2019 of 30 April 2019- modifies technical annex of Agreement 11-2018 on operational risk.

• Agreement 4-2019 of 30 April 2019 - modifies Agreement 6-2017 on authorization requirements for bancassurance.

• Agreement 5-2019 of 30 April 2019 - adopts guidelines that banks and trust entities must comply with to provide alternative commercialization channel services (bancassurance).
