Law No.113 of 2019 adopted by the Panamanian National Assembly requires the placement of signs to identify food products, including its origin (national or imported), as well as its name in Spanish and if it is a substitute or imitation product.
The law applies to all supermarkets and stores that sell food products as of 18 December 2019.
