"Made in Panama" label (Law 112 of 2019)

Panama adopts Law 112 of 2019 to create a "Made in Panama" label to identify products manufactured or produced in Panamanian territory, either through the transformation of raw materials or its sale in natural form.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industries has 10 working days to authorize the label submitted by the applicant.

The unauthorized use of the "Made in Panama" label shall be subject to administrative sanctions.

Law 112 is pending regulation by the Ministry of Commerce and Industries.
